Who We Are

ACE (AI Capability Assessment) is an independent, UK-based service run by a small team of practitioners who work hands-on with professional services firms. We are not a software vendor and we do not resell anyone else's tools. Our only product is clear, impartial advice on where a firm genuinely stands with AI — and what to do about it next.

We built ACE because most firms we spoke to were stuck between hype and paralysis: pressured to “do something with AI” but with no honest, evidence-based picture of their own readiness to act on. ACE exists to replace that guesswork with something a board can actually sign off on.

What We Do

Over five weeks, we assess a firm's AI readiness across the dimensions that actually determine success — current usage and skills, data infrastructure, client-facing processes, governance and risk appetite. The output is a board-ready AI strategy: a prioritised, costed roadmap grounded in your firm's real position rather than generic best practice.

Who It's For

ACE is designed specifically for professional services firms — where the work is knowledge-intensive, client trust is everything, and the stakes around getting AI right (or wrong) are high. We currently focus on law firms, with accountancy, recruitment, construction and property practices supported or on the way.

How We Work

• Vendor-neutral. We have no commercial relationship with the AI tools we may recommend or caution against.
• Confidential. All engagements are conducted under a mutual non-disclosure agreement. What we learn about your firm stays between us.
• Practical. We deliver a roadmap you can act on — not a 100-page report that sits in a drawer.
